- Cage nuts are great for protecting your equipment from stripped threads and allow for convenient mounting of your server rack equipment. A cage nut houses a standard nut in a cage with a spring. The cage has two wings that can be pinched together to allow the cage nut to be inserted into a square hole.

- Flange nuts have a washer-like base to distribute pressure over a greater surface area and ensure the fastener stay tight. They are commonly used in manufacturing assembly lines where operations are speeded by using a single fastener instead of a nut and washer.

- An acorn nut, also referred to as crown hex nut, blind nut, cap nut, domed cap nut, or dome nut (UK), is a nut that has a domed end on one side. When used together with a threaded fastener with an external male thread, the domed end encloses the external thread, either to protect the thread or to protect nearby objects from contact with the thread

- A barrel nut (also known as steel cross dowel or dowel nut) is a specialized nut, and is commonly used in aerospace and ready-to-assemble furniture applications. It is used to bolt thin sheet metal parts to larger, often billet or forged, parts.

- Hex nuts are a six‑sided nut and are the most commonly shaped nut today. They are used with anchor shackles, bolts, screws, and other externally threaded components. Hex nuts, in conjunction with these other fasteners, are used to connect both metal and wood components to prevent tension and movement.

- Coupling nuts, also known as extension nuts, are elongated internally threaded nuts used to join two male threads. Coupling nuts are often used for joining threaded rods or hanger bolts in a variety of applications that require extending threaded rod or attaching like items.

- Rivet nuts (also know as rivnuts, blind nuts or nut-serts) are internally threaded inserts, used in applications with small material (wall) thickness. They create a strong thread in thin sheets of material for high strength fastening from bolts and other threaded articles.
Blind nuts

- A nyloc nut, also referred to as a nylon-insert lock nut, polymer-insert lock nut, or elastic stop nut, is a kind of locknut with a nylon collar that increases friction on the screw thread.

- A square nut, or square head nut, is a four-sided nut that is designed for use with a square head bolt and flat washer. Square nuts offer greater surface contact with the part being fastened compared to a standard hex nut, and therefore provide greater resistance to loosening.
Square Nut

- A T-slot nut is used with a threaded clamp to position and secure pieces being worked on in a workshop. The T-slot nut slides along a T-slot track, which is set in workbench or table for a router, drill press, or bandsaw. T-slot nuts are also used with T-slot structural framing to build a variety of industrial structures and machines.

- A weld nut is a special type of nut specifically designed to be welded to another object (spot welding). This type of welding allows a more homogeneous of the breakdown of the welding current through all the pins. More specifically, it is used in manual welding.
